Once Upon a Time series premiere

I've been really looking forward to "Once Upon a Time." The genius from LOST has brought us another worthy prime time component.

Once Upon a Time opens to a fairytale ending. Snow White is presumed dead by the evil queen however Prince Charming saves her. On the day of their wedding, the evil queen visits and threatens them with a curse.

Back on Earth, we catch up with Emma Swan, a bails bondman who gets a visit from her son and is taken to Storybrooke, Maine where she's told by Henry (the boy she gave up for adoption) that the characters are actually from a fairy tale and have no knowledge of that. She doesn't believe him but realizes something is very wrong.

The story continues to alternate between Earth and fairy tale as we realizes the Evil Queen's curse is to set them on Earth forever stuck in time with no recollection of who they are. Snow White in a desperate attempt to save them from the curse puts her daughter in a magical wardrobe which lands her on Earth. The daughter is Emma Swan who is now the appropriate age of 28 however she needs to realize that her role is to save the characters of Storybrooke - a connection Henry has put together however he has to convince everyone including Emma, his mother.

Once Upon a Time definitely has potential. I'm not sure what will happen once Emma realizes she is the daughter of Snow White. How long can the show run while she attempts to save them and bring them back to a fairy tale ending but if it's anything like LOST it'll have the potential to drag on forever on a remote island. We'll just have to see what happens here.
