Seven Billion People - by the numbers

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     dspenc1 says, 'I figured that if everyone on Earth gathered in one place and stood, we would all need about one square yard each, which is nine square feet. The square footage of a mile was calculated by multiplying 5,280 feet by 5,280 feet. When I came up with the number of square miles needed for the gathering, I went online to search for a readily identifiable land mass that was the same size. The West Bank was the best example I could find.'
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

What if all seven billion of us gathered in one place?
