    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rdcoolidge recorded this video today of himself in Amman, Jordan, speaking on the pilgrimage to Mecca he is making as part of his adherence to the Muslim faith.

    I am in the airport in Amman, Jordan. I will soon be leaving on a flight for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. My pilgrimage will officially begin when the plane passes the sacred boundary of Makkah, and I need to prepare myself to enter the state of ritual sanctity, known in Arabic as ihram.
