    Creative Halloween Message at Mary Baldwin College

    This is the inspired view outside of the President Pamela Fox's house on the campus of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. Each year, Dr. Fox' husband, Dan Layman, enlists the help of students to carve a surprise message out of dozens of pumpkins. This year's message borrows from the student tradition of wearing pearls, this year's college theme "wisdom," and lyrics from the college's hymn. Photo by Sera Petras.
