    Large Fire in Mexico Approaches US Boarder w/ Smoke and Ash

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ChrisMorrow was driving along the Tijuana Estuary on Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach when she captured footage of the large fire in Tecate, Mexico. 'The eerie heavy smoke is blowing through the streets of Imperial Beach. Smell of ash. Very smoky and uncomfortable,' she said.

    Heavy smoke from a large fire in Tecate Mexico has reached Southern California. Video/photos taken from the Tijuana Estuary on Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach of the large fire in Tecate Mexico. I also spoke with a resident of Imperial Beach.

     

    The eerie heavy smoke is blowing through the streets of Imperial Beach. Smell of Ash.

     

    Gusty Santa Ana winds are sending the smoke towards the United States.

     

    Imperial Beach is the most southwesterly city of the United States.
