"Let's Play Cowboys and Iranians" Racism in Katy, TX

My sister brought this to my attention this morning at 7:30am, after she had seen it posted on a friend's FB page.

This is a poster hanging in a BBQ place in Katy, TX called Nonmachers. Beneath the poster reads the caption "Let's Play Cowboys and Iranians"

It is important to note that this isn't some small Texas town. This is a relatively affluent suburb of Houston and many of its residents work in the Energy Corridor of Houston. These are educated people, which is why this comes as such a great shock.

This is a blatant depiction of a hate crime and it is being glorified in this restaurant. It is hard to believe that attention hasn't been brought to this sooner. It is disgusting and a clear sign that there a lot of people in our country who have a long way to go. What is most upsetting is the fact that such an inhumane act is depicted in a place where patrons eat everyday, and no one seems to have been disturbed by it.

I really feel public attention needs to be brought to this to help in the battle we face against racism, hate crimes and violence in this country. This is an embarrasment to our country and everything we stand for.
