Phnom Penh celebrates a 3 day event, where competitors from all over the country descend on the capital to race dragon boats. This year the boat racing has been canceled due to the hardships suffered in the provinces due to the flooding. Normally up to 300 dragon boats participate. In the evening when the races stop, Large brightly lit barges representing the country and various ministries circle the Tonle Sap along the riverfront providing a nice backdrop for the various vendors and tourist.
