    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JannetWalsh says she joined iReport after a woman she met at a media conference showed her several iReports that she had submitted. 'I thought it was fascinating...I'm one of those people who needs a creative outlet, and I've been in Communications/Journalism for a while so it's kind of hard to stop, it's who I am.' She says her favorite aspect of iReport is that it gives her a voice.

    Meet iReporter Jannet Walsh from Murdock, Minnesota, population 303.

     

    The local freight trains are running day and night in the rural community her family has called home since the late 1800s.  Jannet’s family was part of a colony made up of mainly poor immigrants from Ireland that learned to become farmers, helping to feed the world.

     

    The local Murdock grain elevator pictured behind Jannet in the video, is where regional farmers bring their harvest of grains and are sent out to feed the nation and beyond.

    How this video was photographed: This vdeo was recorded with an iPhone 4, iRig Mic, and a Windcutter, a fur windscreen for wind noise reduction, all hand held.
