This iReport is part of an assignment:
Morocco: From surf to Sahara
We were able to visit a few mosques but most required that you be a card carrying Muslim. It was warm and we saw tourists in all types of outfits. We preferred to dress conservatively out of respect for the culture.
The markets were colorful and fascinating. We brought home spices and tasty couscous recipe ideas. The mint tea was by far the best we had ever had and watching the server’s pouring skills were impressive.
My husband and I went with a group of friends in 2009 and we will return on our own to enjoy more of the warm weather and warm, welcoming locals.
