This iReport is part of an assignment:
Drowning in debt |
OK For Now...
On July 25, I was laid off by Eclipsys Corp. I was working for them as an Administrative Assistant for a hospital that outsourced their IT Department. The company assured me that I can relocate to another customer. As it turned out, they didn't deliver.
After I was laid off, the hospital itself asked if I wanted to temp for them until December. (Before this offer, the IT company wanted to me resign so that they wouldn't have to pay me my segverance).
I took it and I'm greatful. When this ends, I will collect unemployment. Meanwhile, I have seen some recruiters and they are working with me to secure another position.
The good thing is that I'm debt-free. During he last downturn, I was in $2,300 in debt. That's all paid up and I'm optimistic that something will come up.
