Occupy Wall Street |
OccupyPhiladelphia Trying to Disperse
Raw Video. In Philadelphia Wednesday morning, 11/30/2011, while trying to find a rerouted bus, I was arrested. I was never told by police to disperse. In fact, when I came across the protesters around 4am, as I was searching for a bus to take me to a friends house, they overtook me as I filmed them, and were then surrounded by police. Officers refused to grant me passage assuming I was one of the protesters. After repeated attempts to leave, I filmed the crowd in their march. While walking with the group north on Broad street, I witnessed several incidences of officers using bicycles to hit people in the chest and face, and heard some truly awful comments come out of some officers. We were forced down a small street and told to get out of the street and onto the sidewalk. We did just that.
