    Snake in the Christmas tree

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     caseybaine told me, 'The snake, whose name is Tinsel, now appropriately lives in the woods.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Merry Chrisssssssstmas!!! Our 6 year old daughter discovered a snake in our Christmas tree on Tuesday evening when she was getting ready to turn off the tree lights. Of course we thought it was a fake snake but noooooo, it was very real and very alive. The snake wasn't poisonous and was probably harmless but it was still uninvited and unwelcome in our home. We have pics and video of the snake and its removal from the tree. What is surprising is that we have an artificial tree. Most would assume it would have been a live tree. The tree has been stored on a shelf in our garage all year. Our local newspaper, the Eastern Wake News is doing a story on us in this Sunday's paper. Our local news station, NBC17 had an anchor come out with his camera man and put us on the evening news. They compared us to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation where Clark Griswold found a squirrel in the tree. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, How wriggly are Thy Branches! Thanks! Casey Baine
