    Santa Claus & Gingerbread Jimmi Come To Town For The "3rd Annual Gingerbread Jimmi House Competition!


    The "3rd Annual Gingerbread Jimmi House Competition" took place on December 5th, 2011 at the Park City, Utah Library (1255 Park Avenue). The event co-hosts Heather Reynolds/Youth Services Librarian and J.R. Holbrook/ Gingerbread Jimmi Author got the competition and party going with Santa and Gingerbread Jimmi! The event had record breaking attendance and was totally MAGIC!
    Talking Points:
    > 1. Gingerbread Jimmi is a new character for christmas like Frosty and Rudolph.
    > 2. Gingerbread Jimmi lives in Park City
    > 3. The Gingerbread Jimmi illustrators Sunny & Martin www.twinmind.com are from Utah and have worked for Pixar (Toy Story, Finding Nemo).
    > 4. "Gingerbread Jimmi - Magical Theme" Song has been on the radio stations since 2003 and the vocalist is from Utah.
    > 5. "Gingerbread Jimmi - Magical Storybook" was released in 2004 and was named as one of Oprah's favorite things.
    > 6. The "Gingerbread Jimmi - Animated Movie Short" premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
    > 7. The "Gingerbread Jimmi House Competition & Display" started in 2009. It is a free, non-profit event to encourage artistic expression for children ages 5-12. It is the beginning of a bigger future festival to include an ice maze, rides, food and children's film. The event is the first Monday every December.
    > 8. The "Gingerbread Jimmi - Magical eBook" launched fall/2011 available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and iTunes.
    > 9. "Gingerbread Jimmi - Magical Storybook" has been in the gift bags at the Oscars & Sundance Film Festival.
    > 10. J.R. Holbrook, "Gingerbread Jimmi" Author, was born in Utah and is a Utah native. He grew up in Maui, Hawaii and Newport Beach, California and then moved back to Utah and graduated from East High School and attended the U of U. He now lives between Park City and Los Angeles.
