State of Unemployment - Rejecting Rejection
Dear Unemployed Colleagues,
I am one of the countless unemployed workers in the United States living in the State of Unemployment. My friends consider me to be an up beat person with a positive outlook, even while unemployed.
I amaze myself as the days pass like a long weekend since the day I was laid off, thinking this all must mean something, and I'll be able to connect the dots looking backwards, just like late Steve Jobs said in his famous Stanford graduation speech.
You can make lemonade from lemons, but you can only drink just so many glasses, before you must say enough. The nation's unemployment has dropped, currently at 8.6 percent. It's no wonder that rate has dropped as people give up on searching for work, giving a false impression the jobless rate has improved. Besides, there are countless unemployed, called # that are not included in the unemploymet count, as they might be self-employed, and no longer can find work to support themselves.
To all my fellow "colleagues" currently seeking jobs, please be strong. My motto is that I will get a better job than I was laid off from. It's about as positive I can be, as I am a fighter.
Do you have a motto during difficult times? Please share, as I would love to hear, and so might others struggling for a grain of inspiration.
Sincerely,
Job Seeker
From the State of Unemployment
(Willing to relocate to the State of Employment)
