I wouldn't say we live in "Burbville". However we do have a quaint little town in agricultural southern Maryland. There is not much around the small town of Hughesville but what makes it unique are our Amish neighbors. It is not unusual to pass them on the highway or see their horse carts or buggies tied to special hitching posts at the local store. Every Wednesday and Saturday people come from miles around to go to what is known as the "Amish Flea Market". There are lot's of other vendors there but most folks really enjoy the Amish hand made bakery goods, homemade jams, jellies, pickles , canned goods, and freshly made butter and cheese. Livestock is available as well as hand made quilts and bonnets. I must not forget plants, flowers and small tree saplings.
The Amish Flea Market is a must if you are in the Washington DC area and is well worth the trip. I am glad I don't have to go very far to get my chow chow and sugar free apple butter.
    Mmmm mmmm good!
