3 year old and Obama visit Arlington

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     kzmyers visited Virginia's Arlington Cemetery yesterday and captured these photos of her son saluting the rows of fallen warriors, and President Obama's motorcade during his visit with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. 'We still can't believe that we were so fortunate to catch this piece of history in person with our young son,' she said. 'As young teens and children, Brad and I both visited Arlington and thought it was just another interesting place to visit along with the Smithsonian and the White House. As an adult, with dear friends deploying and understanding what Arlington stands for, it was very heart-breaking and awe-inspiring to see the vast rows of heroes.'

We stopped at Arlington National Cemetery today to take in the breathtaking wreaths laid at each grave and thank those who gave their lives for our freedom. Apparently, President Obama, Vice President Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki had the same plan. Our 3 year old son, Carter, saluted our heroes on the very day that these leaders declared an end to the Iraqi war. It was a remarkable time to be at Arlington National Cemetery and a day that we will never forget.
