X Factor: Hallelujah For Josh Krajcik!
Yea for the 'Over 30's', and Josh Krajcik just might have sang his way to the finals next week on Fox's "X-Factor" tonight. Roberta and I actually cried as he closed the show with Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'.
The Burrito Maker did a little of his 'Krajcik Magic' for the competition, first with the Beatles' "Come Together". But each contestant had to sing two songs tonight, and it was his final song that blew the judges - and the audience - (Except LA Reid) away.
Thus the contreversary continued with the judges. LA Reid did not like Josh's final song, he said it had "No excitement", so there were major boos from the crowd of course.
Simon Cowell hated Marcus Canty's 'Careless Whisper' (George Michael), calling it "horrific" and "grotesque" and compared it to a Las Vegas show in 1983.
Melanie Amaro also came out strong, she did Mariah Carey's "Hero," and her rendition of the classic "Feelin' Good" made Simon Cowell look like a genius.
Chris Rene took on both Mark McGrath and Alicia Keys on Wednesday, doing Sugar Ray's "Fly" and Keys' "No One" during the show. But we felt both songs sounded similar, although he was better than Marcus Canty. Canty's first song, Boys to Men's "I'll Make Love to You", sounded down right Karaoke - like to us.
So look for either Marcus or Chris to go home tomorrow, setting up the finals next week for Josh and Melanie.
'This is the reason we brought the show to America', said a beaming Cowell after the final performance by Josh Krajcik.
