Southern regional Medical Commander MG Ted Wong visits Fort Campbell

Southern regional Medical Commander MG Ted Wong, along with Army Forces Command leaders, visited Fort Campbell to synchronize efforts to prepare the 101st Airborne Division for their next rendezvous with destiny. BACH staff members are heavily engaged in medically preparing 101st Soldiers to deploy, with major emphasizing mental and physical readiness.

MAJ Paul Kassebaum explained the polypharmacy initiative, which helps keep Soldiers safe while taking medication.

While some Soldiers are busy preparing for a deployment, others will remain on the home front while they heal injuries, illnesses or wounds in order to later return to their units or work to ensure a successful transition out of the military.

The Veterans Administration and Veterans Benefits Administration have partnered with Army Medicine to help streamline the benefits and medical evaluation board process for Soldiers getting out of the Army for medical reasons.
