iPhone 4S FAIL No Audio on Outgoing Calls

    Can you hear me now?

Since the iPhone 4S went on sale in mid October users have not stopped complaining about muted audio on outgoing calls. Affected users have reported not being heard by the other party during calls (and also not hearing the other party on some calls.)

A huge discussion thread (https://discussions.apple.com/message/16424561#16424561) is brewing on the official Apple Support Community with many notes from frustrated users. The discussion started just days after the 4S release has swelled up to 90 pages of posts making it the most discussed iPhone 4S issue.

Many users have had to replace their devices several times before getting a working handset. For many this has been a frustrating process of having to travel to an Apple Store multiple times or shipping their devices at their own cost ($30 each time) and Apple placing a $699 charge on their credit card before they return their old device.

The issue seems to affect users from all over the world. A Facebook Page dedicated to the problemhttps://www.facebook.com/iPhone4SOutgoingCallNoAudio includes many wall posts from affected users, one users saying "Same issue here in MAcedonia i am returnig it too. Shame that Apple stay silent on this problem" and another "i have the same problem no outgoing calls i just hear my voice, it happens 5 out of 3 calls. this is really annoying."

The problem has been going on for over 2 months and Apple is maintaining silence because none of the major news organizations (including CNN) are reporting.
