    One of the foremost experts on North Korea and the inner workings of the government of the late Kim Chong-il (or Jong-il), talks about his new book on the Hermit Kingdom. CNA Research Analyst Ken E. Gause explains, "This book tends to go beyond just Kim Chong-il and deal with the people around him in the military circles, his security circles, the party circles, the cabinet circles, and the government circles around him." Gause visited China previously and visited again this year in order to learn more about the succession.
