May All Your Seasons and Memories Be Bright
MAY ALL YOUR SEASONS AND MEMORIES BE BRIGHT *
Jerry Garcia and the boy of 4
When my son was 4 my mother tended bar in a small biker bar in a small town in California. I would sometimes take him to visit Grandma at work and he would sit at the bar and my mother would fix him a cherry coke.
One day when I carried him up for a visit Jerry Garcia was there. My son stood next to him staring at him. Mr. Garcia said "Margaret why is this kid staring at me?"
My mother answered, "You are sitting on his stool." Jerry Garcia laughed and actually moved over one seat. My son climbed up on his stool, slapped the bar and said "Usual please"
Mr. Garcia laughed so hard, and said, "Damn Margaret! he even has a usual? This has got to be the coolest kid I have ever met."
My son loves to tell that story, even now, of the day he sat and drank 'with that old guy from the Grateful Dead'
Told to me by snowtix who is the mommy of the golden son :) May I say this: "I am honored to hear this wonderful delightful story !"
It is the Season when everyone needs a smile. Today I got my smile from a sweet friend I know as Snowtix. I prefer Snow because she reminds me of purity and is a very good woman.
This woman knows my fondness for the Grateful Dead and she went on to tell me the story about the time her son met up with the famous Jerry Garcia himself, over a root beer of course.
