    Santa Claus Came To Town

Bella Koepke of Shawnee Oklahoma, got just what she wanted for Christmas: a beautiful snow globe. So when she accidentally dropped it and it shattered, her little heart was broken too. Nothing could console her.

Little did she know her great uncle, Santa Claus, had just flown home to Shawnee on Christmas day, after his usual six weeks of being Santa at a California mall. Santa, (AKA Daryl McVey of Shawnee) learned of Bella's plight and Monday he made a surprise visit to the home of Bella and her sister Scottlyn with a new globe for Bella, saving the day.

Santa( I mean Daryl) was tired after his flight but could not resist the chance to mend this little girl's heart. He has been talking to children at the Shawnee Mall, and a mall in Mississippi and in California for over 8 years now, working for a photography company that photographs children with Santa Claus. He listens to the children's wishes and hopes, and offers them stories and a hearty "Ho, Ho, Ho.. Merry Christmas!" in a voice that only Santa could have.

He has been dubbed "The Real Santa" by a multitude of fans in California. Daryl( I mean Santa) takes his job very seriously. He has also been a teacher and a school superintendent, and appreciates bringing joy and learning to the hearts of young children. Even in other seasons, out of his Christmas suit, Santa is recognized and loved by children everywhere. So naturally, he had to dry Bella's tears and make her smile once again. As you can see in the photo, he did just that!
