    Tokyo Celebrates 2012

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AllanCook sends us video from the 2012 New Year's celebration in Tokyo, Japan, beneath the Tokyo Tower. This video shows the release of a cloud of balloons carrying New Year's wishes from the thousands of attendees at last night's celebration. AllanCook says: 'It was really good to move into a new year in Japan because of the Tohoku disaster. I guess it was a weight off off everybody's shoulders and a relief to start a brand new year anew. It was a fantastic night filled with lots of happiness and optimism for the future.'

    Japanese and foreigners celebrated the New Years in Tokyo beneath the Tokyo Tower by letting hundreds of balloons with wishes written on them into the New Years sky.
