    Cell Phones and Freedom

I was thinking about the push to ban all cell phone use by drivers. Can the use of a hands free cell phone be any more distracting than conversing with a passenger in the vehicle? Let’s ban all conversation between passengers and the driver with stiff fines for both the driver and the passenger involved in the conversation. We could place monitoring devices in all vehicles that automatically report such conversations to the police – no worse a privacy invasion than red light cameras.

Better yet, let’s ban passengers from all non-commercial vehicles and require all vehicles produced after 2015 to be single occupant vehicles. Banning all audio equipment in those vehicles is a natural extension of that law.

Come to think about it, it would be better to ban all private vehicles and enforce a strict “Public Transportation Only” policy. This would save fuel, save the environment and give the Government more control over the population!

Welcome to the People’s Republic of America, “One Nation Under Government”.
