    1 World Trade Center - Progress as of January, 2012

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     HOLadd1 snapped photos of the construction of 1 World Trade Center in New York City on January 7 and 8. He says: 'It's arguably going to be one of the most important buildings constructed in this country's history, if not the world. [...] This will be a place every American should visit when the building opens in 2013.'

    These were taken 1/8/2012 as I was transiting through NYC after 10 days in Iceland. Per the WTC progress site, steel has risen to the 90th floor installation of the glass curtain wall has risen to the 63rd floor, and installation of concrete floors has risen to the 82nd floor.

    The construction site is as staggering in size as it is powerful. 1 WTC is scheduled to open in 2013.
