    No Pants Subway Ride NYC

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjunat55 shot these photos of pantless subway riders on New York City subway platforms and cars between the City Hall and 59th street stations. The annual event began in 2002 and has spread to several other cities, including Denver, Colorado. It's organized by Improv Everywhere. According to its website, 'Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants do not behave as if they know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.'

    Hundreds took to the NYC subway system wearing their "intimate apparel" in the No Pants Day on Sunday, January 8, 2012.
    Participants in the annual event drop their pants and skirts in the stations, and ride the metro in their underpants,
    It all culminates with a massive No Pants meet at Union Square in Manhattan.
