This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Wintry weather near you

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     cordovasmile says this is the most snowfall she's seen in Cordova, Alaska, in the 30 years she's lived there. 'Both of my kids were raised in Cordova, and I don't remember a single day of school closure due to weather. The kids have been granted this entire week off of school,' she said.

The town received nearly 15 feet of snow last week. According to O’Toole, there's currently between 4 and 5 feet of snow on the ground, much of which has been compressed by rainfall.
    - katie, CNN iReport producer

I have lived in Cordova, Alaska ( the world's MOST beautiful and friendly place) for 30 years, and we have never had this much snow all at once. Feel free to share these photos and gloat about the weather wherever you are right now...
