An American in Australia
Those who know me know I came from Portland, Oregon (hence the PDX in my name) and recently moved to Los Angeles, California (no, I refuse to be LAXSerric) . Well, it seems another move is in my immediate future.
By the end of this month I will have moved out of the country of Baseball and Apple Pie to the land of Stubby beers, crazy football and meat pies.
I think this will be an interesting experiment, really. After 40 years of living here and nearly 20 years of watching the political system of the "greatest nation on Earth" go to the highest bidder and torn apart by special interests, to see what the genuine opinion of America is from the outside. I'll still be posting from OZ and will be watching how my homeland shapes up in my absence.
I wonder if I hold dual citizenship can I cast absentee ballots? Hmmm.....
At any rate, I will be offline for a while once I move as I get settled in down there. Expect pictures!! And if you have any questions or comments, well, you've come to the right place for that! LOL
