This iReport is part of an assignment:
Breakthrough Women |
Cornelia Seckel, founder and publisher of ART TIMES. Now at 65, her publication nearing its 30th year (against most odds on the New York artscene!), I feel that as a woman bucking the odds she deserves far more recognition than she has already received.
For the past 35 years, I’ve been writing profiles of notable people — painters, sculptors, musicians, conductors, singers, playwrights — even a mime — but until now, never a publisher. This one has been long overdue. She has been an inspiration, has provided resources for the creative community and has supported all the arts with the work she does.
