    Married at a young age?

    More from manyahaha

Married at a young age, and still married 46 years later

I am writing about my parents.. They were married at a young age, My Mother was 18 and my father was 17.  They met when My Grandmother (My Dad's mom) had a foster Home. My Mom's Mom had at that time 13 kids and had to foster tham out for awhile but with Good Intentions. My Mother went to My Dad's moms foster Home, and they met, but didn't start Dating until later....They got Married in 1962 I believe, my sister was 3months old at the time. They went on to have 5 more children, and raised us to be Upstanding  and law abiding Adults, who are all now parents as well... They had their share of Problems, and argued like any other couple, but the love and strength of Family kept them together. Mom worked with the elderly for alot of years, Dad has driven truck for as long as I have been around... They are proud grandparents of 14 grandchildren, and proud Great Grandparents of One Great Grandson, who was born 9 months ago.... They still have their struggles, but to this day, they don't let those struggles hold them back from what is important, Love, support, family and Dedication... We will be celebrating their 46th anniversary in October. And It makes me proud to say that My parents are still together, and still in Love, and Still each others strength...

They have four Girls and two Boys.....

A family that works and struggles, and plays and loves, and leads, and enjoys the simple things in life together, Continues to Grow and continues to Be strong...
