This iReport is part of an assignment:
Occupy Wall Street |
Occupy the Courts, Denver
On a brisk winter morning around 250 people set out to protest the "Citizen's United" Supreme Court ruling.
Protesters ranged in age from about 10 to over 70.
Several members of the Colorado legislature addressed the crowd as well as members of various organizations.
After some speeches and singing the crowd marched peacefully down the 16th Street Mall and turned on Stout Street to head toward the 10th Circuit Court.
Some protesters chose to enter the building after being warned that this would constitute an act of civil disobedience. After being warned that they could be arrested several participants entered the building. We did not witness an arrests or any other police action in response.
