    Wintry weather near you

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     cstarup lives in Starnberg, Germany, where she took this photo in the early morning of Saturday, January 21. 'This year has been extremely warm and then the snow came after New Year's in Austria and we and a lot of people [got] snowed in as the roads got closed off due to avalanche dangers,' she says.
    - elchueco, CNN iReport producer

Weather situation across the Globe sets new standards...unusually late snow finally arrived to Starnberg Germany in rich amounts...only to disappear few hours later and leaving avalanche risks at a high - closing roads and trapping people in their cars to up to 7 hours while coming home from the snow-covered Austrian mountains...the beauty of a morning scene with sunrise over snow-covered tree and roof top can however not be denied.
