Obama's rhetoric doesn't match his record

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     omekongo is optimistic about Obama's presidency after watching last night's State of the Union address, but believes Obama has a ways to go before his rhetoric and accomplishments come into alignment. 'Presidents are generally more aggressive with their agenda on their second time around. The main thing I want to see are long-lasting improvements in education,' he said. 'I am indeed optimistic but I just haven't seen some of the things he was talking about bear themselves out over the past 3 years.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

While President Obama put out some ideas that really set him apart from his republican counterparts, his record on issues such as education and immigration do not match his rhetoric up to this point. Great speech but the proof is in the putting-in. We'll see if he can make some serious progress on these goals because we all could benefit from his vision.
