    Rain! Glorious Rain in Dallas!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     photogirl777 shot these photos on January 25 of the Trinity River in Coppell, Texas, flooding after the area experienced some much-needed rain to relieve an ongoing drought, which she says could be the worst in Texas' history. 'I don't think one day of rain can solve this problem, but we have had some other recent rain in the last few months in north Texas, which helped raise our local lake levels,' she said. 'Much of the rest of Texas has not been so fortunate. Although some winter rains have helped ease severe drought conditions, I have read that La Nina weather patterns will likely mean dry months ahead.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

Texas has been experiencing a drought, and we have gotten some rain over the last few months, but not nearly enough to fill the lakes and overcome the drought! Well, today was such a wonderful day! It rained all day. The pictures you see are of the Trinity River, which is normally a low water river, and doesn't usually move very fast.

The place where I took these pictures is usually about 20-30 feet above the water level of the river. The river was flooding and spreading over its bounds today.

Even though the river is very muddy, the sight of water running was a glorious sight! The location is on Sandy Lake Road, in Coppell, Texas.

The last two pictures show soccer fields that are flooded, and the local birds enjoying the wonderful sight of water!
