Occupy Oakland moves violently towards Berkeley

A series of protests broke out early afternoon on January 28, 2012, scattered all over downtown Oakland.

After several hours of standing off with police at Henry J. Kaiser Memorial Park at 17th & Telegraph, tear gas bombs forced the group to stay in motion. The protestors moved uptown, and marched in a violent parade north to Berkeley.

Police moved in from the south side of the impromptu parade, forcing even innocent bystanders to continue marching north towards Berkeley, wielding weapons (batons, mace, etc.) and threats of harm if all persons in the vicinity did not continue marching north, per their orders.
