    Lunar New Year in Chinatown, NYC

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NYCfoto shares with us these images from New York's Chinatown on the day of the Chinese New Year Parade. 'People, participants, and observers [were happy and cheerful to be] free of their day to day worries. The weather was perfect and everyone was out and about to have fun and pop confetti in the air,' NYCfoto says.

    There were dragons and dragon handlers past Sunday in Chinatown NYC. This was a lively celebration of the Year of Dragon. More people than ever gathered together in tiny streets all smiling, playing and spraying confetti. Some lucky ones passed red envelopes into the mouths of many dragons seen dancing during the annual parade. Some just stayed for fun.
