    As deadline passes, Occupy DC defy Park Police


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Freelance photographer armandog8 says there were still about 30 people camped out at Occupy DC in McPherson square yesterday afternoon. The protesters erected a big tent over Gen. McPherson's statue and were calling it the 'tent of dreams.' As for the mood, he said, 'They were excited but at the same time anxious. I overheard one of the protesters saying, 'Things are way too escalated.''

    As the deadline for all sleeping gear to be taken out of the camp passed, Occupy DC protesters erected a big tent over Gen. McPherson's statue at McPherson square. Chief police visited the installation for a quick check on the tent but no arrests have been made, yet.
