Meet my cat, Sam. When people comment on his hugeness, I remind them that he's likely part Maine coon. My father once called him "fatso" and I rather indignantly informed Dad that Sam is merely "big boned."
Sam weighs in at about 15 pounds. The vet has never remarked that he needs to go on a diet. He's my big fluffy baby, and I have not one ounce of shame when I refer to him and his smaller adopted brother Koby as my furkids.
