    Moma Stands with Sotheby's and supports the Teamster Lockout

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Accuist shot this video of protesters at New York City's Museum of Modern Art [MoMA] protesting the recent decision by auction and art giant Sotheby's to lock some unionized employees out of contract negotiations. 'MoMA is one of the most expensive museums to get into in NYC,' he said. 'Sotheby's makes hundreds of millions each year in profits and can't offer the teamsters a far work package. It seems so cliché given what they represent.'

    Occupy Museums came back to MOMA 2 weeks later after their Banner was confiscated by MOMA security. In that time they sent Moma a list of demands surrounding the banner and the lockout at Sotheby's. When Occupy Museums came to retrieve their banner and see which set of demands Moma decided to take they found out that Moma decided to stick with Sotheby's and the 1% by returning the banner. This hurt teamsters and local 814. Moma you should be ashamed of yourself
