    Susan G Komen For The Cure Foundation Funding Cut To Plan Parenthood A Travesty

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     EWillies1961 shared these thoughts on the recent announcement by breast cancer nonprofit The Susan G. Komen Foundation that they will be pulling major funding from Planned Parenthood. 'There is a place for political disagreements but when it so obviously affects a human life politics must be set aside,' he said. 'We can disagree on abortion. But we sure agree on saving women's lives through screening. This is what most of their monies were used for. Women should be in an uproar right now. When was the last time politics had any implication on morality where men were involved. Prohibition? This is very sad.'

    The Susan G Komen Foundation For The Cure funding cut to Plan Parenthood is a travesty. This is politics that materially affects our low income women.  These funds were used to provide women with breast exams. It is presumed that the funds were cut under political pressure because Planned Parenthood uses a minute percentage of its budget for abortions. One can only wonder if this was an issue that affected men if it would even be an issue.
