Park Police closing in on Occupy DC

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     schmiddi shares with us these photos taken around noon on February 4, as U.S. Park Police cleared McPherson Square for cleanup, in conjunction with MPDC. He says: 'Once they had one parcel cordoned off they would send in the clean up crews which then after Park Police officers identified tents that did not adhere to park rules would dismantle those tents or structures and load them onto dump trucks. [...] I heard several protestors talking about how overall the Park Police was reasonable and supportive (throughout the whole Occupy time so far).'
    - elchueco, CNN iReport producer

this morning Park Police started to clean out McPherson Square in Washington DC, just a couple of blocks away from the White House and the home of Occupy DC for several months now. It was mostly peaceful, just a handful of arrests were made. The main goal for Park Police was to make protesters adhere to the policy that now camping equipment was present with the exception of tents.
