    New heavy snowfalls in Romania

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Cosmin Stan, of Bucharest, Romania, says after being stuck in snow-covered traffic for a couple of hours this morning, he parked his car and took the metro. 'The road conditions are pretty bad now even though the machines have mostly cleared the big snow,' Stans says. He adds that they received another 20 centimeters of snow, adding up to more than one meter in some areas.

    Death tol has risen to 39 in Romania, because of the cold weather, with 5 people only dying in the last 24 hours. Massive snowfalls have hit more than half of the country again in the last 24 hours with Bucharest, the capital city, being covered with a new fresh snow coat that paralyzed traffic Monday morning. The meteorologists have issued another severe weather alert for the next 3 days, with heavy snow and blizzard.
