Morning Subway Ride
What do usually people do on the subway early in the morning traveling to work? The answer may surprise you.
I snapped those photos of the guy in the subway today. He was.... smoking!
It was 6:00am. Train filling up with passengers going to work. And one guy who didn't care and probably had no idea what was going on around him. He just lit his... cigarette(?). (Or was it something else?).
What made me mad was the fact that there was none who would ask this guy to get of the subway. Everybody just moved back from him, avoided to stay close to him. But none, not even one person commented on his behavior.
Subways are already the least pleasant way to travel (long wait, crowd, dirt) and here we got another thing to worry about on our plate. Can't a trip to work be just relaxing anymore? With your ipod on,or morning paper in your hands, not disturbed by smell of the smoke? I always say there is nothing anymore that can surprise me in NY. How wrong I am.
