Private schools' students join Egypt 's strike

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     arasquare shot these photos today of student demonstrators in Cairo, Egypt, calling for a transition to a civilian-controlled government. 'Awareness has spread across citizens, especially youth, through the last months. School students decided to join the country's general strike to increase pressure on the military rulers to hand over power to a civilian authority. They have witnessed corruption and saw their friends die over the past months which made them decide to take a stand against what's going on in the country,' he said. 'The protester in picture 5 is holding a picture of a student named Karim Khouzam, one of the 74 fans killed in the Port Said football massacre last month.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

Hundreds of private schools' students joined Egypt's general strike and marched through the streets of Cairo demanding the end of military rule and transition of power to a civilian authority.
