    Whitney Houston was definitely an icon of my generation. I remember getting my first CD 'boombox' in the mid 80's. Suzanne Vega's Solitude Standing was my first CD, and Whitney Houston's Whitney album was my second. Here I am on my 7th birthday in September 1987 opening my CD.
