    Remembering an Angel

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     kingofpopfan, now 36, remembers when Houston's version of "I Will Always Love You" came out on the "Bodyguard" soundtrack, and she made a point of learning the song. "I would get frustrated while I was learning the song and I would pick up a magazine or a shoe or something and throw it across the room … eventually I finally got it. We lived in a duplex and the lady heard me next door. I remember when I finally got it right, and I could hear her clapping on the other side of the wall.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

I met Whitney Houston in 1990 I think. I'm not sure of the year. I met her while she was taping a video with her friends Bebe and Cece Winans. She was great and especially kind to us (then) children. I was already an aspiring singer and from that point on my every breath was Whitney Houston. I remember people making fun of Brandy for wanting to be like Whitney Houston, but I understood. I have won countless contests singing Whitney Houston songs. I loved her like she was my own sister. I thought she was very kind, intelligent, beautiful and talented. Oprah said it best when she said something like we were able to hear some of God when Whitney Houston sang. I will always love you Whitney. Devastated.
