    Where is the love?

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jpculanag, of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, took this photo when he was visiting Paris, France. 'Valentine's Day is so widely celebrated, regardless of religion and culture. Love encompasses love towards opposite sex, family, friends, love of God, love of country and love of our environment,' he says. 'However, with the wars, violence and crimes as basic ingredients of our daily news--prompted me to ask, "Where is the love?"' Yet, children are oblivious to this. They inspire him because of their innocence in life and in love.
    - ssesha, CNN iReport producer

It's Valentines Day! This two-year old boy, Andre, curiously looks at a red, heart-shaped "love lock" hanging on the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris, France. It is one of the thousands of padlocks affixed to the bridge which symbolizes everlasting love between lovers.

Valentines Day is so widely celebrated, reagrdless of religion and culture.  And it speaks about LOVE.  And LOVE encompasses love towards opposite sex, family, friends, love of God, love of country and love for our environment.  However, with the wars, violence and famine as basic ingredients of our daily news.  It is easy to sense irony.   Fortunately for this young boy, he may only be asking himself if the shape of the padlock is a heart or a circle and if the color is red or purple. While adults, who are celebrating the Hearts Day during these chaotic times everywhere around the world, maybe asking so many different questions and one of those could be, "Where is the love?"
