    Earthquake off Tokyo Bay

Earthquakes in Tokyo Bay are not that common and are n fact a bit of a rarity. Yet since March 11th seismicity in the Kanto area has been one of the biggest changes we have experienced here. Recently it led scientist to conclude seismicity had shifted into our area of Kanto form Tohoku above!

About 20 minutes ago that change was more than evident as a small M4.2 earthquake occurred on the edge of Tokyo Bay and very close to my house. When the information flashed up on my TV screen as a result of March 11th I immediately checked the Japanese Meteorological website to get the full details of the quake.
