    Married at a young age?

    Union, at any age.

I married my Husband at the 'young' age of 21. But lets not look at the situation in a mear chronological point of view.

Maturity and the ability to make informed desisions is not always granted to us by simply living longer. Some people mature at a very young age, where others seem to never reach such a level of thinking.

Making the desision to spend the rest of your life with another human being is not something to be taken lightly (though sadly it is these days). We cannot judge every person simply by their age, and know what kind of path they have walked in life. While it is true some people may rush into things, and for all the wrong reasons. Getting married simply because of a pregnancy isnt always the best path for those involved. Sometimes it is.

Have I personally stugeled with being married at a young age? I must say I have no direct answer to that question. What I can say, is that the time was right when made our vows to eachother. Not a moment too soon or late, and in no way do I regret the desicion. At times though I tend to forget my age. I often find myself observing a group of "kids" in a social situation, wondering what posseses them to act so immaturely, only to realize....they are not kids at all. They are in the same age group as me; 18-25. So in a sence you could say marrige helped to deepen my already high level of maturity. Weather thats a good or bad thing is yet to be seen.

As for the current political buzz at hand regarding the Republican VP candidates daughter; none of us can really know for certain the exact chain of events leading to this young womans current situtaion. There for, we have no right to bare judgement on her in any way.

    Blessed Be,

    A humble opinionist.
