    Samuel's previous birthday celebrations

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Even though Samuel is a leap year baby, his parents make his non-leap day birthdays special too. On his second birthday he had a cowboy themed party and on his third birthday he had a football themed party. This year, for his first leap year birthday, he's having a dirt party.

    Being a Leap Day baby is exciting, but there is always the struggle of what day to celebrate and what to do for those years. For Samuel's first birthday we had a family event and like most 1 year olds, he wore his cake all over his face. His second birthday was a cowboy theme, including pony rides and a hayride. For birthday number three, Sam wanted a football party. His actual request was a football cake and "it should be green with lines on it."
